She asked a bunch of questions to her friend, gathered all her knowledge, which at one time helped me - and made up. And I realized that this is perhaps my calling. I went to study nutritionstudying medicine. The most beautiful thing in my work is that I change people for the better. It makes me happy. ”

Of course, at first I tried to look for work by profession. I went for interviews. Then she even agreed to a position with a salary of 18 thousand rubles. I came and sat in my office at the computer. I sit and think - well, no. Everything. I definitely don’t want to do this. And left. She began to engage in online sales, issued an IP, things began to improve. Dad told me: “You are crazy, you would work like everyone else - in a decent place, with a stable salary.” Like all I did not want, of course, therefore, did not listen to anyone. Now I have my own store. The biggest fear for me is to work by profession in the office from 9 to 18. But I do not blame anyone: to each his own. ”

These are the stories of my friends who one day opened their own business.

I gathered them in a bunch for a reason. Recently, I had a small shock. Shake it. I decided to do an interview with the florist - to talk about this and that, to find out what trends are in the flower world today. And we have a rather famous flower salon in the city, which was born three years ago, when in Tomsk a red rose in a polyethylene "gut" or a bouquet of chrysanthemums with dill and gypsophila was not considered a sign of bad taste. And then this salon opens with bouquets of then very rare peonies, peony roses in a package of burlap and craft paper. The bouquets were beautiful, all three years the salon was developing successfully, and I decided to turn to the woman who opened it and miraculously promoted it in the market.

Of course, only a woman with many years of experience in the flower industry could open such a salon. So I thought, dialing the telephone number of the salon and sent via the link "Vkontakte" to the very owner of the business. To my shock, she turned out to be an incredibly cute girl, 22 years old, who, judging by my calculations, at the time of opening the business, was 19 years old.

I immediately remembered myself at the age of 19. Second-year student of journalism department in a terrible puffed down jacket. I didn’t care much where the money came from. I believed, like many of my classmates and peers, that I would grow up, graduate, and money would come. Maximum - I occasionally worked as a journalist.

And certainly we all together did not think that starting our own business at 19 was a simple matter. And even more so, I know almost nobody who among my peers at that time would take and do it. Well, maybe only Pasha Durov - but I won’t say that he is a typical example for my peers.

I do not mean that representatives of my generation completely lack a business gene. Of course, among the 30-year-olds there are many who successfully run the business. Rather, I want to say that if you look around today, you will see an incredible number of young people who are boldly developing their business. Photographers, makeup artists, videographers, wedding managers, decorators, florists, restaurateurs, successful bloggers, nutritionists, personal trainers, networkers, even actors - these are all people who are under 30 years old. Because of their strength, they are over 20, many of them study at the university and do not even think, it would seem, that their business start may be unsuccessful. They try, they succeed - and that's great.

Immediately I brush away a mean tear and think that even to my freelance (you can say, also some kind of business man) I did not go as easily and as boldly as I could: this was preceded by as much as 6 years of employment.

Involuntarily, I recall my many years of working experience and the notorious "theory of generations", which several years ago advanced hr-specialists began to actively lobby. Who doesn’t know: it refers to the fact that representatives of different generations have a different approach to work, based on a different cultural and educational basis, and on which “cartoons” they grew up. So - the generation of baby boomers (40s - 60s of the last century) is considered to be the most mammoths of the labor market: these people have always been focused on team work, the spirit of collectivism still prevails in them. Today, they basically reached retirement age, but many of them are still successfully working.

Generation X - people born in the late 60s and until the mid 80s: they are used to building a career gradually, thoughtfully, gradually moving up the career ladder and, as a rule, developing within the framework of one company. And followed by generation Y, it includes those whose date of birth fell at the end of the 80s - the beginning of the "zero". It turns out that my peers and I are just getting to the very beginning of this generation. These people are not used to starting their journey from the bottom: they need everything at once. They choose those areas in which you can quickly earn money, and often do not work by profession. This is caused, of course, by the incredible dominance of information and the unstable situation in the market.

Well what can I say: it turns out that everything is right. Unless with the caveat that my peers had a chance to get up at the very beginning, so the characteristic Y-signs are, perhaps, in their infancy. At least for most. But those who are 5 years younger than us are already making us fully aware of the fidelity of the above theory.

After all, your business - this is precisely the very opportunity to be realized here and now, to try and be able to, and if you failed, to spit and start over.

Why am I all leading this. This is such, you know, a patch of positive against the general background of perpetual grumbling and indignation. Usually, young people are usually blamed - they say, they do not need anything other than gadgets, they say, in our time this was not.

So I do not agree.

I take pride in our youth - despite the fact that I also still belong to it - we are talking about the youth that comes on our heels. I am glad that in this world where we were taught from childhood that we need to study well, get a decent profession, go to work in our specialty and build our life according to long-established canons, there are those who are ready to go against the system from a young age, and successfully it does. Who is not afraid to make choices and make decisions, who takes risks, experiments and does not despair because of failures. Who achieves goals and sets new ones. And to whom - oddly enough it sounds - many of us should look not with neglect, they say, young-green, but with admiration. And maybe it’s even worth taking an example from them.
