I haven’t met children screaming all over the street or a supermarket, demanding something and achieving a show of hysteria. There is no such thing. I don’t understand what the Georgians are doing with them? How to magnetize?

About mixed marriage

Once, in my youth, I watched a role-playing game on the topic of interethnic marriages. The keynote was that there were too many differences: mentality, lifestyle, customs, habits, etc. Such relationships are doomed. Even then, I mentally rebelled, although I did not understand why. Now I am aware of.

Here, in Russia, all dreams and thoughts of marriage are based on interpretations of the fairy tale “Cinderella”. There is a romantic - sentimental propaganda, reinforced by steady expressions: you can’t order your heart, your soul sings, love so that butterflies flutter in your stomach ...

And where is the call: turn on the brains ?! Relationships, marriage - this is a serious job, make a career in the family!

And we grow at least princesses. But can we always pull their requests? And most importantly, will future husbands be able, if they are, for example, students? Maybe this spoilage leads to breaks? I don’t know the answer myself, unfortunately.

I was also blown away by the expression: “Find your soul mate!” Think about it. We suggest finding a dear child not a whole man, but only half? Without which part of the body?

I think another setting closer to reality: "Find your man." I think this is the main thing, and then it is not particularly important what nationality it will be.

Having emigrated from Russia to Georgia, for the first months it was extremely difficult for me. In everything. Even in the little things. Men do not wash dishes, floors, windows and do not get up to the open-hearth. If they help you around the house, then with the curtains down, so that the enemies do not guess.

When my husband offers to drink coffee, it turns out that I must brew it. At first it was interesting (I didn’t do this in my life), then my inner voice cried out: “Why me?” Having analyzed the balance of power, I came to the conclusion inspired by the aphorism: “If you can’t change the situation, change your attitude towards it.” Isn't it difficult to brew coffee? Not. Are they asking me politely? Yes. Then let's go on the other side. And let my husband find it difficult to do without me. The addictive effect, understand?

Another point. They even quarrel in a different way. A couple of times I tried to make a family scandal in the Russian style, with inflation of nerves. Did not work out. The Georgian smoked blankly, leaning out the window. Straight voice crying in the desert. It's a shame, right? And later, my husband completely sincerely said that he did not understand what I want from him. So figure it out here. Then I decided that it’s not worth cursing at all, since it does not bring me former pleasure.

Leaving Russia, I told my mother: “Don’t be afraid, it’s already unrealistic to break me, it’s only possible to correct and polish”. And indeed, the stubbornness is gone, there is such flexibility! A mobile person easily changes one type of work to another. The main thing is to see the future and understand your benefits. I admit love as a driving force, but I am aware that any marriage is a calculation in one form or another. Plus a lottery and a huge occupational therapy. And yet - the realization of ambition. Yes Yes! Until now, I’m as if making a challenge to that long-standing role-playing game: I can get along with a Georgian! Moreover, that terrible pathological egoist and I do not like to do it myself is unpleasant. I just learned how to maneuver.

Living alone with my daughter in the Homeland, I reminded myself of a snake, painted in an orange-black transverse strip. But absolutely harmless and vulnerable. In nature, such color reproduction of poisonous animals occurs in order to survive the weak. Now I am changing the skin to natural, becoming less noticeable, but stronger and more confident.

Gastronomy

This country is not for those who are losing weight. Definitely. Here they eat everywhere, always and everything. Gastronomy is what Georgia is. In restaurants, often waiters, knocking down, bring huge dishes and put them one on top of a sort of pyramid. I note that the tables here are wide, massive. But there are a lot of plates with dishes. If you’re going to have dinner, so well! There are no portioned salads in tiny bowls. Georgians do not recognize mayonnaise at all. Tomato and cucumber salad is not seasoned with anything, only salt and onion are added. Juice and so surprisingly stands out, something southern vegetables! I also realized that to refrain from a piece of bread is not an easy test, which I cannot stand with constancy. Their national Georgian bread, Shoti, is a masterpiece of simplicity and taste.

And khinali! They are huge and satisfying, before I could only eat two things, now I easily take a dozen. Matter of habit. Shish kebab is generally something incredible. Either they have different meat, or they have some secret additive: juicy fried pieces just melt in your mouth. Shish kebab on coals from a vine is especially tasty. Georgians also love sweet. But they often add: “The most delicious cake is shawarma!”

Once, due to health problems, I had to starve for a week. In Russia, this was done without any difficulty every spring and autumn exacerbation. Porridge and bananas - this is my diet at such a time. And what is a week? 7 days. You think!

It turned out to be not so simple. Here it is customary to eat on the street, or rather, it is not considered indecent. And everywhere: in the market, on a walk, in the park - in addition to the breathtaking smells of Caucasian food soaring over Tbilisi, I observed chewing. It can be said that she was watching them predatoryly. Passers-by so eagerly bit chebureks that I almost lost consciousness from envy. The house was no easier. Nobody wanted to eat porridge with me, and we have three men in our family. And they, as always, wrapped up meat. On the fifth day of the hunger strike, I was ready to jump out of the car and take the shawarma from some fat uncle. Why am I all this? Yes, just a tip: either never come to Georgia, or get ready to set gluttony records.

And today, my girlfriend shares a recipe for a common Georgian dish. Lobio is the common name for beans and ready-made dishes.

We will need:

1 kg of beans (any kind is suitable, we cook from red);
2 large onions;
100 g of greens: cilantro, regan, condari (can be replaced with rosemary);
1 tbsp. l tomato paste;
3 cloves of garlic;
salt;
red hot pepper to taste.

We sort through Lobio, wash, fill with water and set to cook. After boiling, after 15 minutes, drain the water, rinse the lobio again, fill it with water and put it on fire again. After boiling, repeat the procedure. As a result, boil twice for 15 minutes and drain the water, and for the third time we cook until ready for 1.5-2 hours. This is done so that no gases form.

At the end of cooking, finely chop the onion, fry until golden in sunflower or olive oil, add a full tablespoon of tomato paste and fry for five minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly.
