Diet for nursing mothers: cook soups

At first glance, it seems that with such great restrictions on the products of breastfeeding, nothing is possible to cook. But it’s worth connecting the imagination, and the menu for the nursing mother is ready! Our recipes are specially prepared taking into account the diet for nursing mothers: you will not have to puzzle over what to cook for lunch. Introducing soups to a nursing mother’s diet is the way to a healthy, wholesome and varied diet.

Note that our recipes give tips on cooking so as to preserve the beneficial properties of the products. We also took into account precautions: how not to harm ourselves and the baby, and how to use the products correctly. We draw your attention to the fact that all meat soups are prepared on the second broth. So, we present our first course menu for nursing mothers!

Tasty borsch

Products: low-fat beef, potatoes, zucchini, cauliflower, beets, carrots, onions, garlic, bay leaf, sea salt.

Cooking method

  1. Put the beef in a pan and pour water. Water should completely cover the meat. We put on the fire.
  2. After a two-minute boil, drain the water and pour a new one. Cook in fresh water for about an hour and a half.
  3. During this time, we manage to prepare the vegetables. We cut the beets into strips, onions and potatoes into cubes, three carrots on a grater, we sort the cabbage into inflorescences. If the zucchini is small, cut into circles, if large - into cubes.
  4. When the meat is cooked, add all the vegetables to the soup except the zucchini (it is cooked faster, so add it last). If you chopped beets large, you can add them a few minutes earlier.
  5. We cook on very low heat to preserve as many useful substances as possible: this is very important when dieting for nursing mothers.
  6. 5 minutes before cooking, add salt, bay leaf and crushed garlic. Bay leaves for lactation can be used if not left in the soup for a long time. Therefore, as soon as the soup is infused, it is better to take it out.
  7. Ready borsch served to the table with sour cream!

Fragrant ear

Products: fish - saury, haddock, cod (we take white less allergenic fish), potatoes, carrots, onions, 1 tablespoon semolina (for caviar), sea salt.

Cooking method

  1. We clean fish from scales as much as possible from bones. Boil until cooked and remove from pan. If the broth is “bony”, filter it.
  2. Add chopped vegetables and 1 tablespoon semolina to the broth and continue cooking.
  3. At the end of cooking, salt, put bay leaf and fish. Do not forget to pull out the bay leaf.

Chicken or Turkey Dumpling Soup

Products: poultry, potatoes, carrots, onions, 1 egg, 50 ml of milk, 5-6 tablespoons of flour, bay leaf, sea salt.

Cooking method

  1. Boil the meat. We prefer white meat, that is, breast without skin. Remove the foam.
  2. Add coarsely chopped potatoes, a little grated carrots and onions.
  3. We make dough for dumplings: mix the egg, milk, salt and flour. The dough should be thicker than sour cream, but not cool. If it is very thick, add some water or milk.
  4. Cooking dumplings: take a teaspoon, dip in cold water and scoop out the dough for about half a spoon. The dough should fall off well. If you have not yet adapted, you can use a second spoon. Note that dumplings in the process of cooking increase in volume. Since the time for preparing the dumplings takes 5-10 minutes, we begin to lay them when the vegetables are still slightly damp, so as not to digest them.
  5. After you have finished forming the dumplings, wait another 5 minutes for the latter to cook well. Add bay leaf and salt. Finished dumplings should float on the surface of the soup.
  6. Remove the soup from the stove and remove the lavrushka.

Soup with pasta and cheese

Is it possible to pickle one month after giving birth at guards? With a diet for nursing mothers, this soup can be cooked without any meat at all. But it will be especially tasty if you make it from chicken ventricles and hearts.

Products: Chicken ventricles and hearts, pasta, potatoes, carrots, onions, cheese, sea salt.

Cooking method

  1. Boil chicken offal until cooked for about an hour and a half, depending on the age of the bird. Add the vegetables 15 minutes before cooking.
  2. Boil pasta in a separate pan. But, as a rule, the young mother has very little time for cooking, so it does not matter if you cook pasta in the same pan. We take small pasta (like "stars"). If you want large ones, then take those that do not stretch and do not lose shape.
  3. Cheese is better to take hard. If you find processed cheese with a good composition, you can use it. Three cheese on a fine grater and gradually pour into a saucepan, mix well, so that no lumps form. Cheese must be completely dissolved.
  4. Salt to taste.
  5. Serve the finished soup with black crackers.

Meatball and Rice Soup

Products: minced meat (you can mix several types of meat - beef, lean pork, turkey or rabbit meat), rice, potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, bay leaf, sea salt.

Cooking method

  1. In boiling water we put washed rice.
  2. While the rice is cooked, we take on the forcemeat: salt it, add a little onion and garlic.
  3. We make meatballs the size of a walnut. To make the meatballs more tender, you can add bread or boiled rice to the minced meat (in this case, you do not need to add rice to the broth).
  4. After 10 minutes of boiling the rice, add the vegetables and one meatball each. Do not stir, so as not to spoil the shape of meatballs.
  5. 5 minutes before cooking, salt and add bay leaf.

What soups are good? In conclusion, I would like to note that the regular use of soups with gv (except mucous soups) prevents the occurrence of constipation, which is an urgent problem for nursing mothers. And the use of a cup of hot soup or broth 10-15 minutes before feeding causes a rush of milk, which is also important for nutrition during breastfeeding.
