Housewives often have to iron clothes at the same time as a host of other household chores. It is enough to be distracted for only half a minute or mistakenly set the improper mode, and a catastrophe happens - your favorite dress "decorates" an ugly yellowish, and even brown spot. A common problem when ironing clothes made of thick fabrics is glossy marks that appear on dark matter if the steamer was used incorrectly or was ironed without gauze. Both the first and second problems can be solved in simple ways.

How to remove or remove a burnt trace from an iron on light clothes

What to do if I lighted clothes with an iron and how to get rid of shiny las? To remove a burnt iron stain from a white cloth, first of all, you can use lemon juice. The product is suitable for natural delicate and dense materials. Squeeze the fresh juice of a quarter of citrus into a glass, add a teaspoon of clean warm water, stir and apply to the fabric. Rinse with water after 20 minutes.

If someone burned clothes with an iron, then you can remove the yellow stain from the iron at home with the same lemon juice, only after processing, fill the place of contamination with powdered sugar. Rinse after a couple of minutes.

But with persistent, deep spots on white cotton, chlorine can cope. Use the product carefully, in protective gloves and a gauze bandage, adhering to the following order of nine actions.

  1. Add 5 g of bleach to one liter of warm water.
  2. Stir well.
  3. Type clean warm water into the sink or basin.
  4. Soak in it the wardrobe item that you plan to clean.
  5. After a couple of minutes, spread the fabric tan out.
  6. Pour the stain with the prepared solution of bleach.
  7. Wait 15 minutes.
  8. Rinse your wardrobe in plenty of running water.
  9. Wash in a vending machine.
Chlorine recipe is only suitable for cotton products. If we are talking, for example, about a wool jacket, you can try to clean the spot burned with an iron from stains with ammonia and hydrogen peroxide (3%). The ingredients are mixed in equal proportions and liberally moisten the place of contamination, after which the thing is washed in the machine. Such a mixture removes tanning and synthetics.

Reanimating black things

How to independently remove the white trace of the iron that appeared on the black trousers? Using a nail file or nail scissors, carefully remove the tan. After that, moisten a piece of gauze well, fold it in half and iron the desired area. Trousers should be washed separately from other clothes, using a gel for washing black things.

If the trace of the iron is large and stubborn, you can use laundry soap. This method consists of ten steps.

  1. Cut a quarter of the bar of laundry soap.
  2. Grind it with a grater or sharp knife.
  3. Soap chips with half a glass of hot water.
  4. Leave the mixture for 10-15 minutes.
  5. The tanning spot is pre-wet and wring out.
  6. Apply plenty of soap.
  7. Spread it evenly and leave for five minutes.
  8. On top, put the cheesecloth folded in two layers and without pressure, iron with a well-heated iron.

List of colored laundry products

How to remove tan marks from the iron from clothes, if it is multi-colored? You can also use peroxide, but only 1%. There are other tools that are selected depending on the type of fabric.

  • Denatured alcohol. Cleans viscose. Be sure to wear gloves. Cut a small piece of kitchen sponge. Moisten in alcohol and wipe the tan with light soaking strokes. Leave on for 15 minutes, rinse in running water and wash in a clipper. The same effect can be achieved with wine alcohol.
  • Kefir. No less effective and even more preferred means due to the lack of a specific chemical smell. Before removing the iron stain on clothes with a sour-milk product, moisten it well in clean water and squeeze. Type a little kefir in the palm of your hand and apply liberally on the cloth. Leave for two hours. Remove kefir with a napkin and wash in the appropriate mode in the washing machine. If we are talking about linen or cotton fabric, it should not be soaked for a couple of hours, but at least overnight. The same goes for the atlas.
  • Onion. Almost any clothing (from tight jeans to lace skirts) can be cleaned from traces of iron with an ordinary onion. Peel it and cut into two halves. Intensively in a circular motion rub the desired area. Remove the remaining juice with a napkin and wash the wardrobe in the machine using a fabric softener.
  • Borax. With a weak solution of borax (sodium salt of boric acid or sodium tetraborate), traces of the iron can be removed from most types of fabrics. Dilute a teaspoon of the product in a glass of warm water, soak a gauze swab in the mixture and wipe the tan well. Dry naturally (the ideal place is a sunny balcony) and only after that wash in the appropriate mode in the machine. In this way, linen cloth can be cleaned effectively.
  • Salt. With a cotton swab, moisten the tan well, and then sprinkle liberally with salt. Leave on for 15 minutes. Shake off the salt, remove its remnants with a thick cloth, and then wash the item.
  • Baking soda. Silks from tan marks can be tried to clean with soda. Dilute two teaspoons of the product in 50 ml of water. Apply the mixture to the stain and let it dry completely. Remove dried mixture with a sponge and wash the item.
You can also clean tan with skim milk. Put a small container in the sink, fill it with milk and lower the desired area of tissue. Soak for 20 minutes, and then just wash the thing.

What to do with shiny spots

Trying to give a perfect look to their favorite shirt, the housewives often overdo it and leave subtle, but still spots reminiscent of greasy on the fabric. In fact, there is a slight deformation of the tissue. It is better not to allow such incidents and to iron clothes from the wrong side or through gauze. But if, nevertheless, a problem arose, is it possible to remove glossy stains from the iron using improvised means? Quite. "Traces of zeal" washes vinegar from the fabric. Proceed in three steps.

  1. Dilute in 50 ml of warm water 25 ml of table 9% vinegar.
  2. Apply generously to the desired area with a gauze swab.
  3. Wait a couple of minutes, wipe with dry gauze and wash.
In some recipes, it is advised to remove the las, taking the ratio of vinegar and water 1: 1. In this solution, moisten the fabric and steam through it the problem areas with an iron. Work should be in a bandage so as not to breathe in vinegar fumes. You can also try to get rid of smoothed marks from the iron with the help of the above means: salt, onion and lemon juice.

You can remove the stain from the iron on clothes with your own hands. But remember that home remedies have a fat minus. If the cleaning ingredients are not mixed properly, there is a risk of spoiling the fabric. Therefore, always pre-test the prepared cleaning compound in an inconspicuous area of the fabric from the inside. And to prevent burning of fibers, work only with a clean iron and choose the correct ironing mode in accordance with a specific type of fabric. Recommended temperature for processing the product is indicated on the label.
