Recipes for natural do-it-yourself face creams

Try to make a face cream at home for your skin type from natural oils, freshly squeezed juice and available products (eggs, gelatin, honey and beeswax). Store cosmetics do not give such an effect and often bring damage. Use homemade cosmetics that you are confident in using the makeup.
Cream in a jar

Most additives used by cosmetic companies are either inert (not interacting with the body at all), or harmless only within a certain concentration, dosage, storage and use conditions. Shop cosmetics are formed by flavors, texturizers and emulsifiers, and therefore can be stored from 12 months to several years. Useful substances, even if they are, lose their properties within 30 days. Therefore, it is recommended to replace store cosmetics with home cosmetics to give yourself youth, well-groomed skin and a fresh complexion. Moreover, folk methods have always been useful.

Recommendations for making homemade home cream

Cooking face cream is easy enough if you use the right dishes and follow the recipe. Therefore, for successful experiments at home, some points must be taken into account.

  • Do not use metal utensils and / or blender heads. Oxidation of the cream in contact with iron reduces its shelf life, gives it an unpleasant odor and color. Therefore, to heat the components (and this is an inevitable stage in the creation of any cream), prepare a set of enameled containers or use dishes made of heat-resistant glass. Do not forget about wooden spoons, spatulas and other mixing devices.
  • Glassware is ideal for storing cream. The second, slightly less successful option is hard plastic.
  • The jar of cream should always be closed after use. It will be better if you find a suitable container with a tight lid. If not, cover the neck with plastic wrap.
  • Get a measuring spoon, a set of disposable syringes and a pipette. Useful for counting drops where the formulation requires it. You will probably need to measure very small volumes, so large measuring glasses will not work here.
  • Some components of the cream, if desired, can be varied, and some not. You can replace each other with the same type of additives - oils, decoctions, infusions of herbs and sets of vitamins. But the thick base of the cream cannot be replaced, since the rest of the components indicated in the recipe may not mix with it or give unpredictable chemical reactions. Therefore, when choosing a composition for your skin type, pay attention to the foundation that is indicated in it. For oily and problematic skin, it is better to use gelatin, egg white and yolk, glycerin, etc. But oil, cream, paraffin and natural wax are already solutions for dry and sensitive skin.
  • Shelf life of home cream - no more than two weeks. Most creams, even in the refrigerator, are stored for no more than a week, and then it exfoliates and deteriorates. Therefore, do not make a lot of cream at once - focus on a volume of 15-20 ml.

Cream for various skin types. Easy vintage cooking

The concentration of additives in each specific product is harmless, but the problem is that we always use several care products at the same time.In addition, we eat modern food products, including convenience foods. They are based on the same additives that are part of store creams. Therefore, a combination of a face cream with a whip up dinner within at least one day already creates the likelihood of an overdose of one or more chemical additives. Home-made face creams are free from these drawbacks: they do not contain foreign matter, we always know their composition and shelf life for sure.

When making a natural face cream at home, it is important to understand that it will surely turn out to be fatter and more saturated than a “emasculated” store emulsion. For this reason, creating a cream at home suitable for everyday use with oily and problem skin is almost impossible. It is best for its owners to limit themselves to masks made with their own hands, which you will use only periodically.

For oily skin, gel-based recipes are often recommended. But you should first pay attention to the gelling agent that you are invited to. Not all of them are safe, so check the properties of any unfamiliar substances that you will find in the new recipe.
