Sandwiches with cod liver - a tasty and simple snack

Step cooking

  1. Hard-boiled egg for 5 minutes, cool and peel. In order to prevent crumbs from the eggshell from entering the filling, the peeled egg can be slightly placed under a stream of water and thus the residue can be washed off. Then take a deep bowl and grate the egg on a fine grater.

  2. Add cod liver to the pan without juice and liquid.

  3. Then send garlic, passed through the press. If desired, garlic can only be grated toasted slices of bread, or you can not add it at all.

  4. Wash dill and parsley, chop finely and add to the contents.

  5. Mix well together until smooth. If you plan to serve sandwiches with such a spread in a few hours, then it should be covered or tightened with cling film and sent to the refrigerator.

  6. Thin French baguette cut into slices, about 1 - 1.5 cm thick. If you chose a loaf or “brick”, then slice the bread diagonally so that the slice has a triangular shape and looks more appetizing and elegant. On the hob, heat a pan with the addition of butter and fry each slice of bread on each side until light brown.
    Fry a few slices of baguette in a pan with butter.
  7. Remove the bread from the pan and let it cool. Put the obtained spread of cod liver, eggs and greens in approximately the same amount on each piece of bread and evenly smooth it on the surface.
    Spread the cooled baguette slices with the previously prepared mass.
  8. Wash the cucumber, cut into thin slices 2-3 mm thick and put on top of the spread. Instead of cucumber, you can use any vegetable that you like. For example, it can be avocado, tomato, lettuce, a slice of lemon, olives or olives.
    Sandwiches with cod liver can be supplemented with slices of fresh cucumber.
  9. If desired, sandwiches on top can be slightly salted and pepper, garnished with mayonnaise. Also, as a decoration, you can use black and red caviar, grated yolk or hard cheese. Sandwiches are beautifully laid out on a dish and can be served.
    When serving, such sandwiches can be additionally decorated with mayonnaise. greens.
