Step cooking

  1. Pre-soak a glass of lentils, preferably overnight.

  2. Dice 2 onions into small cubes. Cut bell pepper into small squares. Tomatoes in the amount of 2 pieces are also chopped into cubes. It will take 1 carrot - we also cut it into cubes. Finely chop the clove of garlic. Cut 2-3 sprigs of parsley and dill.

  3. Heat the oil in a pan - about 100 ml.

  4. First of all, put tomatoes and onions in oil.

  5. Add carrots and bell peppers.

  6. Fry vegetables, stirring constantly.

  7. When the vegetables are slightly browned, we spread the soaked lentils in the pan.

  8. Add a little water - about 150-200 ml, mix well. We close the pan with a lid and leave the lentils with vegetables to simmer on low heat.

  9. Lentils should be checked periodically. If the water has boiled, and the lentils are still damp, add more water. Stew until lentils are ready.
    If necessary, add more water in the cooking process.
  10. When the lentils are completely ready - put in a pan 1 tbsp. l tomato paste.
    Add tomato paste.
  11. Sprinkle a mixture of peppers to taste. Add a little basil - also to taste. We also spread the garlic (if you do not like its aroma - you can not add it).
    Next, add spices chopped garlic.
  12. Sprinkle the dish with parsley and dill.
    Add chopped greens.
  13. Do not forget to salt to taste. Mix everything thoroughly. Keep the mixture under the lid on the fire for a couple of minutes.
    Delicious lentils with vegetables ready.

  • Lentils can not be soaked, but simply boiled. To do this, fill it with water in a ratio of 1: 2 and boil for about half an hour.
  • Other ingredients can be added to such a dish - for example, champignons, celery, spinach, grated ginger, raisins.
