Delicious and tender cabbage rolls in sour cream sauce 🍲

Ingredients

White cabbage (medium) 1 head
Small carrots 1 PC.
Onion 3 heads
Salt 2 tsp
Ground pepper 1 tsp
Raw rice 3 tbsp. l
Beef 400 g
Sour cream 300 g
Prepared water ½ stack.
Drinking water 3 l
Cabbage broth 1 tbsp. l
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp. l

Step cooking

  1. Rinse the cabbage well in water, separate the leaves of cabbage.
    Carefully remove the leaves from the cabbage.
  2. Cut off the hard bases of each sheet. If you got too hard a head out, don't be upset. In this case, you must first lower the cabbage into boiling water for 1 to 2 minutes, let it cool, and you can safely proceed to cutting the head of cabbage.
    We cut thick veins from the leaves.
  3. Put a large pot of water (3 l) on the fire, salt it and boil the leaves for 5-6 minutes. Do not immediately pull them out of the water, it is better to do this immediately before the formation of cabbage rolls.
    Boil the leaves.
  4. Rice (3 tbsp. L.) Put in a small pan, pour water in a ratio of 1: 2 and boil. You can do this with a slow cooker, microwave or double boiler, as anyone likes.
    Cook also rice.
  5. Rinse beef (400 g) and onions (1 head) in water, cut into small pieces, pass through a meat grinder and add to rice.
    Pass the beef and onions through the meat grinder.
  6. Add salt (1 tsp), ground pepper (0.5 tsp) and broth in which the leaves were cooked (1 tbsp.) To the products, and mix the filling well until smooth.
    Mix rice, minced meat with onion and spices.
  7. Put about 1 tbsp on the edge of the sheet. l fillings, wrap the sides and roll up the cabbage leaf so that you get a roll. Thus, make cabbage rolls using all prepared leaves.
    Wrap about a spoonful of minced meat in soft cabbage leaves.
  8. Now you need to bake them. To do this, you need a baking sheet that needs to be greased with vegetable oil (1 tbsp. L will be enough). Put all the cabbage rolls on a baking sheet, put in the oven and bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
    We put the formed cabbage rolls on a baking sheet and send it to the oven for half an hour.
  9. Cut the peeled onions (2 heads) into half rings.
    Cut the onion into half rings.
  10. Grated peeled carrots (1 pc.) On a coarse grater.
    Grate carrots.
  11. Add vegetable oil (1 tbsp.) To a preheated pan, put onion, add salt (0.5 tsp.), Pepper (⅔ tsp.), Mix and fry until slightly golden.
    Fry the onions in a pan.
  12. Then put the carrots, mix, fry until cooked and transfer to a convenient bowl.
    Add carrots to the onion.
  13. In another bowl, mix sour cream (300 g), water (½ cup.), Salt (0.5 tsp) and the remaining pepper.
    Separately mix sour cream with water and salt.
  14. Put all the cabbage rolls in a pan, distribute the vegetables evenly on top and pour over the cooked sour cream sauce.
    We transfer stuffed cabbage to the pan, distribute vegetables from the pan from above, pour everything with sour cream sauce.
  15. Cover the pan and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.
    We leave cabbage rolls in sour cream sauce to stew under the lid for half an hour.
  16. Put the finished cabbage rolls on a plate and you can safely serve them on the table.
    The most tender cabbage rolls in sour cream sauce are ready.
