Step cooking

  1. Before starting cooking, you need to prepare the ingredients: peeled onions (1 head), peel, rinse in water and cut into medium-sized cubes.Finely chop the onion.
  2. Peel the carrots (1-2 pcs.), Rinse and either grate on a coarse grater or cut into small cubes.
    Cut the carrots into small cubes.
  3. Thin chicken legs (2 pcs.) Thaw in advance, cut into 2-3 parts and rinse in water. To protect yourself and your family, it is recommended to pre-boil the meat, drain the water and only then continue cooking the main dish. Buckwheat (1 cup.) Transfer to a deep bowl or pan and rinse 2-3 times in water.
    We wash buckwheat.
  4. Put a cauldron or a small saucepan on a fire, pour in olive or any vegetable oil (4 tbsp. L.), Add butter (10 g), and when it melts, put onion and stew it for a couple of minutes.

  5. Then add carrots to the onion and fry the vegetables for about 3 minutes.

  9. Send buckwheat to the meat in a cauldron, mix all the products, pour boiling water (2 cups) so that the water covers the porridge, mix again and, if necessary, add salt.
    Add water and cook the dish under the lid.
  10. Leave the cauldron without a lid for 5 minutes so that the excess liquid evaporates. At this stage, it is important to mix well so that the products do not burn.
    We mix the ingredients so that the buckwheat does not burn.
  11. Cover the top, make a minimum fire and continue to simmer buckwheat with meat for another 20-25 minutes. If there is not enough liquid, it can be added a little during cooking.
    Stew the dish under the lid.
  12. Mix the finished dish, turn it off, wrap the cauldron on top with a warm kitchen towel and leave for 10 minutes.
    Wrap buckwheat with a towel so that it is still infused.
  13. Lay buckwheat with meat on plates and can be served.
