Buckwheat with sausages - such porridge can be served for lunch, dinner and even breakfast 🥣

Kitchen appliances and utensils:

  • plate;
  • stew-pan (stainless steel pan with a thick bottom);
  • knife;
  • cutting board;
  • tablespoon;
  • wooden (silicone) spatula;
  • glass (plain, faceted).

Ingredients

Product amount
Buckwheat ½ stack.
Sausages 2 pcs.
Green onion taste
Garlic 1 clove
Salt taste
Butter 1 tbsp. l (30 g)
Ketchup 2 tbsp. l
Water 1.5 stack

Step cooking

  1. Place a stewpan or saucepan with a thick bottom on the stove (made of stainless steel or cast iron, since porridge is not recommended in enameled dishes). Put 1 tablespoon of butter on the bottom (about 30 g) and turn on the fire to a level below average.
    Put a piece of butter in a stewpan.
  2. While the butter is warming and melting, clean the sausages and cut them into circles. The recipe contains regular milk sausages, but you can take any that you like best. If you really want, then you can take sausages, only then cut them first into circles, and then cut the circle into four parts. Pour the chopped sausages into the stewpan. Stir a little, fry them for half a minute.
    Cut sausages into circles and spread in a saucepan.
  3. Wash green onions, peel dried edges and chop finely. Pour into the saucepan.
    Add chopped chives.
  4. Peel 1 clove of garlic and rinse it under water. Press the garlic with a knife and a hand to the cutting board, and then chop it smaller. Also put in the stewpan.
    Add chopped garlic.
  5. Add two tablespoons of ketchup to the stewpan. Stir sausages, chives, garlic and ketchup. Fry it all in just a couple of minutes over low heat.
    Add ketchup and mix.
  6. While everything is fried, prepare buckwheat. Measure half a cup and rinse it with running water two to three times. If buckwheat is "dirty" (there are a lot of unpeeled grains or chaff in it), then you need to take care of this in advance - sort out the garbage. Pour buckwheat into the stewpan, mix a little.
    Add buckwheat to sausages in ketchup.
  7. Pour in 1.5 cups of drinking water, mix everything. If you pour boiling water, then slightly reduce the amount of water.
    Add water.
  8. Salt the porridge to taste.
    Salt buckwheat and set to cook.
  9. Cook porridge over medium heat for 15-20 minutes. The cover must be closed. Periodically check that the porridge is ready. When the water is completely gone, and the grains swell and become soft - everything, the porridge is ready!
    The dish is ready.
  10. Cut a little green onion and sprinkle the porridge on top (the onion that you added earlier has already lost its bright green color and has given its taste to porridge). It remains only to put in portioned plates and enjoy a delicious dish!
    Buckwheat with sausages will be even tastier if sprinkled with herbs when serving.

Buckwheat with sausages in itself is very appetizing. This is the dish that mothers prepare for breakfast for their children when there is no time to fry meatballs or stew meat. Very fast: literally five minutes by the stove and another 15-20 minutes of independent boiling - and you have a wonderful breakfast (or lunch, or dinner) on the table. Serving buckwheat is best with fresh vegetables or "summer" salads. True, it sounds good with pickles. By the way, you can replace ordinary milk sausages in the recipe with any others, even smoked or with cheese. Therefore, be sure to cook such a wonderful dish for your family!
