Korean herring recipe - delicious spicy appetizer

Kitchen appliances and utensils:

  • pan;
  • cutting board;
  • kitchen knife;
  • grater for Korean carrots;
  • 2 deep bowls with a capacity of 3-4 liters;
  • colander.

Ingredients

Name amount
Herring, medium fresh 2 pcs.
Large onions 1 PC.
Garlic 3 cloves
Medium carrot 4 things.
Sesame seeds 1 tsp
Ground coriander 2 pinch
Weijin seasoning 0.5 tsp
Seasoning Malasyan 0.5 tsp
Ground black pepper 1 pinch
Light soy sauce 2 tbsp. l
Teriyaki Soy Sauce 2 tbsp. l
Sesame oil 0.5 tsp
Vegetable oil 120-150 ml
Acetic essence 70% 1 tbsp. l
Red hot chili peppers, dried cereal 1 tsp
Granulated sugar 1 tbsp. l
Drinking water 300-400 ml

Step cooking

Fish preparation

  1. Remove the herring (2 pcs.) Head, entrails, skin, wash. Cut the fish into fillets.
    We clean herring and share on filet.
  2. Cut the fillet into small pieces across about 1 cm thick. If the herring is with milk, you can use them in cooking (provided that you eat them). Milk is cut into pieces about 3-4 cm long.
    Cut herring fillet into pieces.
  3. Put chopped fish in a deep bowl.
    Put the pieces of herring in a deep bowl.
  4. Pour herring with cold drinking water so that the water completely covers the pieces (approximately 300-400 ml of water).
    Fill herring with water.
  5. Add vinegar 70% essence (1 tbsp.), Mix. Set the bowl aside for 15-20 minutes to marinate the herring.
    Add vinegar and leave the fish to marinate.

Vegetable preparation

  1. Wash and peel the carrots (4 pcs.), Peel the onions (1 pc.), Peel the garlic (3 cloves). Cut the onion into half rings 3-4 mm thick.
    Onions need to be cut in half rings.
  2. Grate carrots for Korean salads. Rub the vegetable along the root with a long straw.
    Rub carrots on a Korean grater.
  3. Heat the pan with vegetable oil (120-150 ml) well.
    We heat the vegetable oil in a pan.
  4. Add red hot pepper flakes (1 tsp) to the heated oil, mix. Fry lightly (2-3 minutes). When frying, do not inhale the steam coming from the pan so as not to burn the respiratory system.
    Add hot pepper in the form of flakes to the pan.
  5. Pour the onion half rings into the pan to the fried pepper. Fry with constant stirring until the onions are soft.
    Next, add the onion and fry.
  6. Add the grated carrots to the pan, sauté over low heat, stirring all the time, about 2-3 minutes. The carrots should soften a little. Remove the pan from the heat.
    Last, add carrots to the pan and fry too.

Dish assembly

  1. Check the readiness of the pieces of herring. Cut a piece - the meat inside it should have the same color as on the surface of the piece. A white film of curled fish protein is visible on the water. If you are not sure about the readiness of the fish, hold it in the marinade for another 5 minutes. Throw the fish in a colander, let the liquid drain completely. Put the fish pieces in a deep bowl.
    We flip the herring into a colander and transfer it to a roomy bowl.
  2. Add carrots and onions to the fish from the pan.
    Add the spicy vegetable dressing from the pan to the herring.
  3. Dice the garlic (3 cloves) into small cubes. Add garlic to a bowl.
    Add also chopped garlic.
  4. Pour sugar into a bowl in a bowl (1 tbsp.).
    Season the dish with sugar.
  5. Pour in a bowl of light soy sauce (2 tbsp.), Teriyaki sauce. Instead of Teriyaki sauce, you can take oyster or fish sauce.
    Add soy and spicy sauces.
  6. Add sesame oil (0.5 tsp) to the mass, add black ground pepper (pinch), ground coriander (2 pinch).
    Add pepper and coriander.
  7. Pour Veidzin seasoning (0.5 tsp), Malasyan seasoning (0.5 tsp), sesame seeds (1 tsp) into the mass.
    We also add sesame seeds.
  8. Mix well with two forks. Try the mass on salt and sugar. If necessary, add some more sugar or soy sauce (Weijin seasoning).
    Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
  9. Leave the herring hehe for 2 hours. After this time, the dish is ready to eat.
