Step cooking

  1. Wash one carrot, put in a pan. Pour the carrots with water and cook for 25-30 minutes until fully cooked.
    Boil the carrots until tender.
  2. Take herring (1 pc.) And wash well with running water. With a sharp knife, cut off the head of the carcass and then cut the stomach from the head to the tail. Clean the fish from the entrails. If you come across caviar or milk, they can also be used in cooking. Rinse the carcass with running water.
    Gut the herring, cut off the head.
  3. Now you need to make a deep incision along the ridge, from head to tail. Remove fins.
    Make an incision on the back of the herring, remove the fins.
  4. Touching the edge of the skin, pull it off.
    Carefully remove the skin from the fish.
  5. Divide the tail into 2 parts. Grasp the herring firmly by the tail, half the tail in each hand. Holding the fish in a similar way, scroll the herring around the tail and a slight tear will appear near it. Continue cutting the carcass in this way. Without exception, including small bones will remain on the back.
    Dividing the tail of the herring in half, we stretch the carcass in different directions, tearing it.
  6. Cut off the tail and separate the spine with bones. At the same time, if there are several bones left, they can be removed independently using a fork or tweezers.
    We remove the ridge.
  7. Fillet herring and onions (1 pc.) Through a meat grinder.
    We pass the received herring fillet through a meat grinder along with onions.
  8. When the carrots have cooled, it must also be passed through a meat grinder.
    Pass the carrots through a meat grinder.
  9. Stir what was passed through a meat grinder and add 100 ml of sour cream to the mixture.
    After mixing the resulting mass, add sour cream to it.
  10. Add salt and pepper to taste and mix well again. Put the prepared caviar from herring on a plate and serve.
