Beetroot carpaccio - original recipe 🥗

Step cooking

  1. In a pan with 2-3 liters of cold water, put 2 washed medium beet roots of red beets. Bring water to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium, cook beets for 40-45 minutes under the lid. Drain boiling water, add cold water to vegetables. Let the beets reach readiness (20-25 minutes). When boiling, boiling water should cover vegetables 5 cm higher. The exact boiling time depends on the beet variety. Cool the cooked beets.
    Cook the beets until cooked.
  2. Peel the finished vegetables. Cut the beets into very thin (transparent) slices using a slicer or a very sharp knife. A prerequisite for the recipe is a very thin cutting of vegetables.

  3. Lay the slices nicely on a serving platter. You can roll thin circles of beets into tubes or petals, making them a beautiful composition.
