Macchiato caramel coffee - recipe as in legendary Starbucks

Macchiato caramel coffee - recipe as in legendary Starbucks

Kitchen appliances and utensils:

  • copper or ceramic Turk (volume 100-150 ml);
  • mixer;
  • pan with a capacity of 1 liter;
  • capacity for whipping cream (with a volume of at least 1.5 liters);
  • pastry bag;
  • a small strainer;
  • 350 ml irish glass;
  • cocktail straw;
  • cream spoon with a long handle.

Freshly ground coffee 20 g
Culinary cream Valio 38% fat 250 ml
Milk 220 ml
Water 220 ml
Powdered sugar 30 g
Granulated sugar 170 g
Cocoa powder 5 g
Vanilla extract 1,5 ml

Step cooking

Having prepared macchiato coffee according to the recipe, you will get a delicious drink, very similar to desserts from the famous Starbucks Corporation coffee chain. Only your coffee will be even tastier, because you will prepare all the ingredients yourself from natural "live" products.

Double espresso

  1. Pour fresh finely ground coffee (20 g) into the turk.
    Pour fresh coffee into the Turk.
  2. Add granulated sugar (10 g), mix. Warm the coffee and sugar mixture over very low heat for 1-2 minutes (no smoke), stirring.
    Immediately add sugar to the coffee.
  3. Pour warm water (70 ml) into the turk.
    Add water.
  4. Bring coffee to a boil, immediately remove from heat.
    Bring the coffee to a boil.
  5. Stir the coffee. Bring to a boil again.
    After removing from the heat, mix the drink and let it boil again.
  6. Strain.
    Brewed coffee must be filtered.
If you have a coffee machine, brew a double espresso - one pod or coffee capsule in 60-70 ml of water.

Making caramel

  1. Pour water (150 ml) into a small saucepan (1 liter capacity). Bring the water to a boil. Put sugar (150 g). Shuffle.
    Combine water with sugar.
  2. Cook 5-6 minutes until thickened and the appearance of a characteristic caramel color.
    Cook the caramel until a characteristic brown hue is obtained.
  3. Add vanilla essence (1.5 ml). Shuffle. Remove from heat. Pour caramel into storage utensils.
    Vanilla essence can also be added to caramel.

Cooking whipped cream

  1. Cool well the container in which you will whip the cream, whisk for whipping (put in the freezer for 10 minutes). Cool Valio cream (250 ml) with 36% fat by refrigerating for 1 hour. Pour chilled cream into a cold container.
    Pour chilled cream into the whipping container.
  2. Knock down with a mixer for 30 seconds at low speeds.
    Whip the cream with a mixer.
  3. Add icing sugar (30 g).
    Add the icing sugar.
  4. Beat for 5 seconds at low speeds, then go to high speeds for about 1-2 minutes.
    Whip the cream with icing sugar at a high speed mixer.
  5. Whipped cream is a thick lush foam with sharp peaks after raising the whisk from the mass. If you don’t feel like it, use ready-made whipped cream in a bottle.
    Cream is ready.

Making Macchiato Coffee

  1. Pour 350 ml of caramel (40 ml) into the irish glass.
    First, pour caramel into a glass.
  2. Pour granulated sugar (10 g).
    Add sugar immediately.
  3. Pour 60 ml of double espresso.
    Add coffee.
  4. Mix well until sugar dissolves.
    Stir the drink until sugar is completely dissolved.
  5. Add hot milk (220 ml).
    Add milk.
  6. Put cream (100-120 ml) with a beautiful slide using a pastry bag.
    Using a pastry bag or syringe, squeeze whipped cream.
  7. Sprinkle cream with cocoa powder (5 g) using a strainer. Pour a thin stream of caramel, creating a beautiful pattern on the surface of the cream.
    Classic macchiato coffee is caramelized and sprinkled with cocoa.

When serving, add a straw and a cream spoon to the glass (or serve it separately). To get several servings of macchiato coffee, increase the amount of the ingredients proportionally.
