buckwheat (boiled) ½ cup

Step cooking

  1. Boil buckwheat with rice in advance, so that in total you get 1 whole glass of finished cereal.

    From the cabbage, remove the upper leaves, cut out the stump.
  3. Depending on the size of your cabbage, choose a saucepan, pour water into it and put it in a boil, then dip the vegetable in boiling water.
    We spread cabbage with a pot of boiling water.
  4. While the cabbage is in hot water, grind vegetables. Wash and chop the bell pepper into small cubes.
    Finely chop the bell pepper.
  5. Peel the carrots, and then grate on a fine grater.
    Rub the carrots on a fine grater.
  6. Add buckwheat and rice to the vegetable mixture.

  7. Cut half or a whole onion into cubes, you will fry it with mushrooms. Also chop 1-2 cloves of garlic with a knife.

  12. On the cabbage leaves that you have already prepared for wrapping, cut off the slightly stiff part, and you can also slightly beat it off with a hammer.

  13. Pour the fried mushrooms with onions, greens to the vegetable filling, salt and pepper the filling, and if desired, add other seasonings.

  14. Lay out the cabbage leaf, put the filling on its edge, and then fold it into an envelope, like a regular stuffed cabbage.
    Wrap the filling in cabbage leaves.
  15. Fold all the cabbage leaves in this way and immediately send them to the pan, where they will be prepared. Stuffed cabbage should lie tightly to each other.
    Spread cabbage rolls in a deep pan.
  16. In a saucepan, cover the cabbage rolls with the remaining cabbage leaf. As a press, you can put 1-2 potatoes on top.

  18. The pan with cabbage rolls should be put on fire, wait for boiling, then reduce heat to a minimum and cook for 30-40 minutes.
    Prepared vegetable cabbage rolls will be about 40 minutes.
