Step cooking

  1. We send 100 g of butter to a convenient dish and melt in a microwave or in a water bath. Butter can be replaced with margarine. But remember: the better the product, the tastier the pies will be.
    Pre-melt the butter.
  2. Using a mixer, beat 2 eggs until foam. Add to them 0.5 tsp. soda, 3 tablespoons of sugar, melted butter, beat until smooth.
    Beat the eggs with a mixer, add salt, sugar, melted butter.
  3. Gradually add the flour. To get a pleasant aroma, you can add vanilla sugar. First, mix the mass with a mixer. Then, when it becomes dense enough, knead with your hands. At this stage, approximately 300 g of flour will be needed. To make the dough elastic, obedient, soft, knead it for about 5-7 minutes.
    Add flour a little.
  4. Then add 250 g of cottage cheese to the test. Mix everything well, gradually add the flour, it will take about 50-100 grams more, it depends on the humidity and fat content of the cottage cheese. Take any cottage cheese, the main thing is that it be of the first freshness, do not have a pronounced sour taste. Knead the dough for several minutes to make it elastic, obedient.
    Add cottage cheese and knead the dough.
  5. Send it into a bowl, cover with cling film and leave to rest for 30 minutes.
    The dough should rest for about 30 minutes.
  6. After this time, we knead a little rested dough. Then we roll it with a layer of about 5 mm and cases round, the same shape. A special shape with a diameter of about 6 cm will help to make them.
    We roll out the finished dough and cut out round billets for pies from it.
  7. We spread jam or jam on one side of the cake.
    We spread jam on one half of each circle of dough.
  8. Fold the dough in half, fasten the tips well with a fork. So you will be able to tightly fix the workpiece and give it a beautiful shape. Repeat this procedure with the whole test.
    Fold the dough in half, like a dumpling, and press the edges with a fork.
  9. We cover the baking sheet with parchment paper and lay out the blanks of the pies. We send to the oven, preheated to 180-200 degrees, bake for 15-20 minutes. The baking time will depend on your oven.
    We spread the ready-made pies on a baking sheet covered with parchment and send it to the oven.
  10. After 15 minutes, be sure to check the pies for readiness. If they become rosy, then it's time to get it. We get the pies, cover them with a towel, let cool for 5-10 minutes. Then put it on a large, flat plate and serve.
    Jam pies are ready!
