Step cooking

  1. We prepare all the ingredients on the list and the work surface. Let's start preparing the salad by boiling 4 large beets. You can bake beets in the oven, choose the most convenient and fastest way for yourself. Peel the finished beets at room temperature.
    Cook the beets, cool and peel.
  2. Rub on a fine grater. You can grate beets on a large or medium grater, it will not affect the taste in any way. Excess beet juice, which was formed after rubbing the beets, must be drained so that the salad does not turn out to be liquid and watery.

  3. We cut 70 g of prune into medium sized pieces so that it feels good in the salad. But you can cut the prunes in the size that you like. Adjust the amount of ingredients to your taste. The main thing is that the prune is not too dry, and the most delicious salad is obtained with smoked prunes. To make the prunes soft, pour boiling water over it for 5 to 10 minutes. If you do not like prunes, you can replace it with raisins.

  4. 50 g of walnuts are cut into small pieces with a knife. It is not worth chopping nuts in a blender so that they do not turn into very small crumbs. To make the nuts more flavorful, they should be fried in a dry pan for several minutes. It is very tasty when in a salad a nut comes across a clove. Instead of walnuts, you can use any kind of nuts.

  5. You can add chopped garlic to this salad, it goes very well with beets, gives the salad an additional taste, piquancy and shades its sweet touch. In a deep bowl we combine all the prepared ingredients: grated beets, chopped prunes and nuts.
    We connect all the prepared components.
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste, mix well so that all the ingredients are evenly distributed. Next, add 2 - 3 tbsp. l vegetable lean mayonnaise, mix the salad again. This mayonnaise is commercially available, or you can make it at home.
    Dress the salad with lean mayonnaise.
  7. We shift the salad into a beautiful dish and serve. You can decorate the salad with fresh herbs, walnuts. Beetroot salad is perfect for any dish. It is well stored in the refrigerator, and the next day it will be even tastier. Enjoy your meal!
