Oriental sweet recipe Chuck-chak with honey

The article describes just a recipe for chuck-chuck with honey, according to which you can easily cook this unusual oriental delicacy in your own kitchen. Oriental sweet recipe Chuck-chak with honey

Kitchen appliances and utensils:

  • mixer bowl (or deep bowl);
  • mixer;
  • kneading board (or silicone mat);
  • deep thick-walled pan;
  • paper towels;
  • stove or hob;
  • skimmer;
  • stewpan;
  • dessert mold;
  • parchment paper.

Sugar 200 g
Salt 0.5 tsp (no slide)
Milk 50 ml
Soda 1 tsp (no slide)
Wheat flour 500 g
Honey 150 g
Apple vinegar 1 tbsp. l
Vegetable oil 300 ml
Butter 1 tsp

Step cooking

  1. 6 yolks and 3 protein of chicken eggs, 50 g of sugar, 0.5 tsp are alternately added to the mixer bowl. salt, 50 ml of milk and 1 tsp. (without slide) soda.
    In the mixer bowl, beat the eggs, add milk, sugar, soda.
  2. We mix the entire contents of the bowl with a mixer for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth.
    Beat the mass with a mixer.
  3. Then add to the mixture 1 tbsp. l apple cider vinegar (if necessary, you can replace rice vinegar) and mix well again.
    Add apple cider vinegar to the whipped mass.
  4. Step by step (in several approaches) we add the sifted flour to the workpiece, thoroughly mixing it after each “approach” (on average, you will need about 500 g of flour, but the exact amount may vary in each case).
    Add the flour and proceed to knead the dough.
  5. When the contents of the thicket become sufficiently thick, put it on a kneading board, previously sprinkled with flour, and continue to knead the dough with your hands until it becomes firm and elastic.
    Knead the cool dough.
  6. The resulting dough is cut into three identical parts, which are then put in a bag and put in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
    Dividing the dough into 3 parts, put them in a bag in the refrigerator.
  7. After 20 minutes, we take out the dough from the refrigerator and thinly roll each of the resulting parts to a thickness of about 2 - 3 mm.
    Then roll each part of the dough thinly.
  8. Then we cut out the rolled dough into even long strips about 3 cm wide.

  9. And we cut them across a thin straw.

  10. In a deep thick-walled pan, heat 300 ml of vegetable oil.
    In a stewpan or cauldron, heat the vegetable oil.
  11. When the oil is heated, fry the resulting straw in it until golden brown in small portions.
    Fry the dough straws in vegetable oil.
  12. We take the finished straw out of the pan using a slotted spoon and spread it on a paper towel to remove excess fat.
    After frying, transfer the chuck to the paper towels to remove fat.
  13. When all the dough is fried, we begin to prepare syrup. To do this, add 150 g of honey and 150 g of sugar to the stewpan.
    To make syrup, combine honey with sugar.
  14. We put it on a small fire and, constantly stirring, we achieve the complete dissolution of sugar.
    Cook sugar with honey until syrup.
  15. When the sugar has dissolved, pour the syrup into the fried dough and mix thoroughly (this must be done quickly until the syrup has frozen).

  16. Then we spread the resulting mixture into a mold pre-coated with parchment paper (parchment is also additionally greased with 1 tsp of butter). We carefully ram it.
    We take a detachable baking dish, cover it with parchment and tamp the chuck chuck.
  17. Then we put the form with chuck-chuck in the refrigerator until it solidifies completely.
    We put a treat in the refrigerator so that it freezes.
  18. When the chuck-chuck hardens, it can be removed from the mold, cut and serve. For a more effective serving, you can sprinkle it with sesame seeds and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint on top.
