Ingredients

  • Turkey drumstick - 2 pcs.
  • Onion - 2 pcs.
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Lemon - ¼ part
  • Olive oil - 0.5 tbsp. l
  • Salt - 1 tsp.
  • Paprika - 1 tsp.
  • Ground hot chili pepper - 2 pinches
  • Ground nutmeg - 1 pinch
  • Butter - 80 g

Step cooking

  1. Under running cold water, we wash 2 shins of turkey and remove excess moisture with a paper kitchen towel. We cover the baking sheet with a piece of food foil and spread the turkey parts on it. We set the oven at 230 ° C and leave it to warm well. We wash the turkey drumsticks, spread on a baking sheet covered with foil.
  2. Water the drumsticks from above 0.5 tbsp. l olive oil, then sprinkle with 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp paprika, 2 pinches of hot chili pepper and 1 pinch of nutmeg. Sprinkle the shins with olive oil, sprinkle with paprika and nutmeg.
  3. Remove the husk from 1 clove of garlic, cut it into thick plates and lay it on a turkey. Pour over the bird juice with ¼ of the lemon, and put the peel next to the legs. Grind the garlic and spread on poultry meat.
  4. Peel 2 onions from the husk, cut each into 6 slices and lay them around the turkey. Cut the onion and spread around the legs.
  5. We take the drumstick in the hand and carefully lubricate it with the resulting marinade, then repeat the same steps with the second drumstick. rub the turkey drumsticks with the resulting marinade.
  6. We put the pan with the bird in a preheated oven, reduce the heat to 180 ° C and leave the turkey to bake for 45 minutes. We put a baking sheet with poultry in the oven.
  7. After 45 minutes we take out a baking sheet and check if the turkey is ready, for this we look if the meat is pulled up, exposing the lower part of the bone. If the drumsticks are not yet ready, grease them with a brush, the allocated juice and melted 80 g of butter, then return the pan to the oven for another 15-20 minutes. Lubricate the meat with butter.
  8. After 15-20 minutes, we take out the drumsticks from the oven, pour over the juice that has stood out again, leave it to rest for 30 minutes, then put them on the dinner plate to the side dish and serve. The turkey drumsticks prepared according to this recipe are juicy and aromatic.
Important!To make the meat more flavorful, after we coated both legs, leave them to marinate for 30 minutes, then send them to the preheated oven. If desired, you can add any vegetables to the bird as you wish before sending it to the oven, then you can cook meat with a side dish at the same time.
