Oven baked mackerel recipe with tomatoes and onions

Large frozen mackerel 3 pcs.
Large onions 2 pcs.
Fresh Tomatoes 3-4 pcs.

Vegetable oil 40-50 ml

Step cooking

  1. Defrost the fish (3 pieces), remove the head and entrails, wash well. Defrost fish carcasses in the refrigerator or at room temperature by removing them from the freezer in advance. In hot or warm water, you cannot defrost the fish, in this case the meat will creep out.
    Defrost mackerel.
  2. Using a knife and kitchen scissors, trim the side, lower fins and the large dorsal fin at the carcass. Cut the tail.
    We clean the fish, cut off the fins and tail.
  3. Cut the fish into pieces of the same thickness, approximately 2 cm.
    Cut the carcass into portioned pieces.
  4. Salt and pepper each piece of fish (to taste). If you wish, you can use seasoning for fish or dry spicy herbs (oregano, basil, a mixture of Italian herbs, other seasonings for fish). Ground black pepper can be replaced with white ground pepper, which has a sharper and more saturated aroma. Also, if desired, use your favorite fish condiments. Herbs and seasonings are not indicated in the recipe.
    Salt every slice.
  5. Onions (2 pieces) cut into round slices, about 4-5 mm thick.
    Cut the onion into rings.
  6. Pre-washed and towel-dried tomatoes, cut into circles with a thickness of 5-7 mm.
    Cut fresh tomato into circles.
  7. Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil (40-50 ml) using a cooking brush. Lubricate the bottom and sides of the mold well. Put chopped carcasses of mackerel in a greased form. Insert a mug of onion and a mug of tomato between two pieces of fish. Arrange the whole mackerel in this way.
    In a greased form with vegetable oil, lay out the pieces of fish, alternating them with slices of onions and tomatoes.
  8. Cut in half the previously washed and scalded lemon (1 piece). Squeeze the juice from half a lemon on the fish.
    Pour lemon juice over the dish.
  9. With a culinary brush, grease the fish and vegetables on top with the remaining vegetable oil (from the amount of 40-50 ml). If desired, you can grease the fish with mayonnaise or ketchup. Then the baked mackerel takes on a different taste.
    Before sending to the oven, grease the mackerel with vegetable oil.
  10. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 200 ° C. Put the fish in the oven, bake for 30 minutes.
