The basis of the salad is meat. It is combined with nuts, fruits, mushrooms and other products. The selection of certain components depends on the taste preferences of the cook. There are no strict rules or cooking conditions. The step-by-step recipe for “Turtle” salad with chicken is interpreted by each hostess in their own way. Since chicken is low-calorie, you can choose the composition of additional products suitable for the diet menu. The only caveat is the mandatory design in the form of a shell.

Classic tortoise salad recipe

Description. The dish can be laid out in layers or just mix the products. Having chosen the classic recipe for the turtle salad, we make out the carapace of the components that are at hand. Shredded walnuts will do. Or you can combine cheese squares with whole nut kernels.

Ingredients:

  • chicken fillet - 450 g;
  • four chicken eggs;
  • one onion or a small bunch of green onions;
  • three sweet and sour apples;
  • hard cheese - 50 g;
  • walnuts - 100 g;
  • mayonnaise;
  • spice.

Cooking

  1. We cut the boiled meat, as convenient. The main thing is to finely.
  2. If the onion is bitter, then chop it and pour boiling water for ten minutes.
  3. In boiled eggs, we separate the proteins from the yolks. The first finely rub, the second - rub or chop with a knife.

  • one chicken breast or salted fish fillet 450 g;
  • Dutch cheese - 100 g;
  • one or two green apples;
  • one onion or a small bunch of green onions;
  • walnuts - 100 g;
  • dried fruits - 100 g;
  • mayonnaise, spices.

Cooking

  1. Finely chopped boiled and bone-free breast (fish).
  2. In boiled eggs, we separate the proteins from the yolks, we rub separately. Leave one half of the egg for decoration.
  3. Grind apples (pre-peeled), cheese on a grater.
  4. Dried fruits are cut into thin strips.
  5. From nuts we make crumbs. Leave a few pieces for decoration.
  6. We evenly divide the prepared products into two parts to repeat the layers.
  7. We spread the components, following the sequence: proteins, chopped onions, filet or fish, yolks, apples, cheese, dried fruits. We impregnate the layers with a mayonnaise grid, salt.
  8. We form a "shell" of nuts. “Head” is the egg half, “legs” are whole nuts or halves of dried fruit.
  9. We make a pillow of lettuce leaves or decorate with sprigs of greenery around the edges. We cover the “shell” with circles of fresh or pickled cucumber.

With grape

Description. The combination of chicken meat with sweet berries is one of the most common in snacks. The main thing is to choose a seedless product, such as raisins. If you decide to cook a salad of “Turtle” with grapes, then the “shell” is better to make halves of grapes.

Ingredients:

  • one bunch of grapes;
  • cheese - 250 g;
  • one breast;
  • two garlic cloves;
  • pineapple from a jar - 300 g;
  • mayonnaise, spices.

Cooking

  1. Fry the pieces of the bird until cooked.
  2. For the sauce, mix one spoonful of pineapple juice, mayonnaise and chopped garlic. They fill the chicken and leave to brew.
  3. Cut pineapples, as convenient.
  4. Grind the cheese on a grater.
  5. We form a dish: meat, pineapple layer.

With mushrooms

Ingredients:

  • chicken meat (chicken, breast) - 250-300 g;
  • five chicken eggs;
  • nuts - 150 g;
  • mushrooms - 150 g;
  • cheese (hard varieties, for example, Dutch) - 200 g;
  • one bunch of green onions;
  • one tablespoon of mayonnaise and sour cream;
  • spices and seasonings.

Cooking

  1. We cut the boiled and separated chicken from the bones into cubes.
  2. We grind boiled and chilled eggs, as well as meat.
  3. Fry the mushrooms cut into small slices with the addition of a small amount of vegetable oil.

For celebrations where children will be the main guests, we come up with an interesting and original design. “Shell” lay out kiwi slices. “Head”, “paws” are made of paste, olives, chips, crackers. You can make a turtle salad with walnuts without the traditional fat mayonnaise. It is perfectly replaced by sour cream and yogurt sauce. For piquancy, season with lemon juice, a small amount of mustard.
