In salads, cod liver is combined with rice, cheese, crab sticks, tomatoes and other vegetables. It turns out very tasty, but too often to eat such dishes is not worth it. This is due to the fact that fish oil is easily transported with the bloodstream and can settle on the walls of blood vessels. For the same reason, the product is contraindicated in people with atherosclerosis.

Cod liver contains a lot of vitamin A, which improves visual acuity. Due to vitamin D, the product is useful for joints and the endocrine system. Fish oil improves material metabolism in the tissues of cartilage and bones. The product contains vitamin B12, iron and calcium, which positively affect the heart and blood vessels.

Classic Cod Liver Salad Recipe

We take:

  • liver - one can;
  • onion - one thing;
  • chicken egg - two pieces;
  • hard cheese - 70 g;
  • low fat mayonnaise - two tablespoons;
  • table vinegar - one teaspoon;
  • ground black pepper - 1 g.

Do

  1. Finely grate boiled eggs.
  2. Cut the onion into small cubes and pour vinegar on for 20 minutes, and then drain the remaining liquid.
  3. Open canned food and drain fat. Put the product on a plate and knead with a fork.
  4. Finely grate the cheese.
  5. Combine all ingredients and season with mayonnaise, then pepper.
In Soviet times, a salad with cod liver prepared according to this recipe was called Northern. He was on the menu of prestigious restaurants. The appetizer can be served in tartlets or with toasts. It must be remembered that it is high-calorie.

We take:

  • liver - one can;
  • potatoes - two pieces;
  • red onion - one piece;
  • an egg - four pieces;

  • canned peas - three tablespoons;
  • four eggs;

Do

  1. Boil potatoes with peel and eggs. Cool to clean, then grate finely.
  2. Open canned food, remove oil and mash the product with a fork.
  3. Cut the cucumbers into small cubes.
  4. Combine all foods, add spices and some canned butter.
Ingredients can be cut into small cubes, and not rubbed. It is permissible to replace cucumber with olives, and peas with beans. It is best to serve such an appetizer in tartlets.

With prunes

We take:

  • liver - 200 g;
  • potatoes - two pieces;
  • carrots - one thing;
  • four eggs;
  • prunes - ten pieces;
  • green onions;
  • spice.

Do

  1. Boil carrots and potatoes, then peel and grate coarsely.
  2. Boil the eggs. Coarsely rub the squirrels, and knead the yolks with a fork.
  3. Remove fat from canned food and knead with a fork.
  4. Cut prunes into strips.
