Shakshuka Israeli fried eggs  - a simple recipe

Ingredients

  • Olive oil - 20-30 ml
  • Eggs - 4 pcs.
  • Cumin - 1 pinch
  • Oregano - 1 pinch
  • Onion - 0.5 pcs.
  • Chili pepper - 2 tbsp. l
  • Ground black pepper - 1 pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Tomato - 1 pc.
  • Tomato juice - 50 ml
  • Sugar - 1 tsp.
  • Feta - 50 g
  • Greens to taste

Step cooking

  1. In a preheated pan, 20-30 ml of olive oil and add to it a pinch of cumin and oregano. pour vegetable oil into the pan, add oregano and cumin.
  2. Finely chop the onion half and add it to the pan. Mix everything. Grind the onion and put it in the pan.
  3. Next, add 2 tbsp. l hot chili peppers and mix well. Add chopped chilli.
  4. Add a pinch of ground black pepper for the flavor. Add salt. Salt and pepper the vegetables in the pan.
  5. Finely chop 2 cloves of garlic and also send it to the pan. Mix everything and lightly fry, without overdrying. Add chopped garlic.
  6. Pass 1 peeled tomato through a blender and add it to the pan. Pour the crushed tomato using a blender into the pan.
  7. Add 50 ml of tomato juice to make the composition more liquid. pour tomato juice.
  8. Add 1 tsp. sugar to balance the acid and give 2 min. components to crush among themselves. Add some sugar.
  9. Beat 4 eggs into the resulting mixture and add 50 chopped feta cheese. We beat the eggs into the tomato mass and add the feta cheese.
  10. Cover the cooking composition with a lid and place in the oven preheated to 200 degrees for 4 minutes. Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle with herbs. Let it brew for 10 minutes. and serve. When serving shakshuka, prepared according to this recipe, usually sprinkled with chopped herbs.
