Dessert is worth cooking when you do not have an oven. Which, for example, is relevant for a summer residence or student dormitory. Charlotte comes out not so airy, but subject to the rules no less tasty.

Cooking features

  • Charlotte in a pan will always be more “dense”. Therefore, if you want to indulge in the classic version, then choose cooking in the oven.
  • Try to use more apples and less dough.
  • Spread the ingredients as thin as possible and don't be afraid to go too far with the baking powder - this way the dessert will be more magnificent.
  • Use a frying pan with a wide diameter (at least 20 cm) and a thick bottom, so that the dough bakes efficiently and evenly.
  • It is advisable to choose a deep frying pan with a lid, so as not to allow the dough to fall during cooking.
  • Bake on low heat, otherwise you risk getting fried cake.
  • Grease the pan with more butter than a baking sheet. Or use semolina to prevent the pastries from sticking.
  • If it seems that charlotte may not be baked enough, then turn it over in a pan (like a pancake).
