Traditional recipe with jam as in the photo

Charlotte with apple and cherry jam or any other is prepared in much the same way as regular charlotte, only jam is taken instead of fresh apples, and sugar is required much less than for a traditional cake, since jam itself gives a lot of sweetness.

You will need:

  • wheat flour - 150-200 g;
  • apple jam - 1 glass;
  • eggs - 4 pieces;
  • granulated sugar - 70 g;
  • baking powder dough - 1 teaspoon;
  • salt is a pinch.

Cooking

  1. Traditional Charlotte with JamBeat the chilled eggs, gradually adding sugar to them. Beat until sugar is completely dispersed.
  2. Pour in advance sifted flour in parts, constantly mixing and bringing to a homogeneous consistency. Add baking powder (or half a teaspoon of soda, slaked with 9% vinegar). Salt.
  3. Mix the dough with jam and pour into a mold pre-lubricated with butter or vegetable oil.
  4. Bake charlotte with apple jam in the oven at 180 degrees (set already on the hot side) for 40 minutes. Pierce the pastries with a wooden skewer, if the stick is dry - it is ready.
Jam can be added to the biscuit in two ways: either simply mix it with the total mass, or carefully pour it in a trickle in a circle when the dough is already in shape without stirring - this way the jam does not completely interfere with the dough, and in the pie its taste will be felt more vividly . The main thing is that the jam is not too liquid.

A simple recipe for charlotte with jam can be varied by adding raisins, nuts, chocolate chips, candied fruits to the dough. To decorate the finished pie, you can use powdered sugar, berries (fresh or from jam), nuts, candied fruits, chocolate or coconut flakes, cinnamon, etc.

With jam

Charlotte with jam can be safely called a variant of French charlotte. That is, for its preparation, instead of dough, a loaf of bread or white bread soaked in milk (including mixed with eggs) is used.

Charlotte with jamYou will need:

  • dried (yesterday) white bread - 200 g;
  • any jam - about 1 glass;
  • milk - 1 cup;
  • powdered sugar - 2-3 tablespoons;
  • chicken eggs - 3 pieces.

Cooking

  1. Make thin slices of bread about half a centimeter thick. A sliced loaf (rounded) or American bread for sandwiches (square) is ideal for us, depending on the shape of the pan.
  2. Turn on the oven 180 degrees in advance.
  3. Generously grease the mold with butter and lay out one layer of bread.
  4. Pour the jam and smooth it with a spoon. Put a second layer of bread on top.
  5. Shake the egg yolks and milk, and pour the pie with this mixture.
  6. While the mixture is soaking bread, in a separate bowl, whisk the squirrels with powdered sugar in a lush foam (it is important that the proteins are cold, otherwise the foam may not work).
  7. Fill the charlotte with whipped squirrels and immediately put in the oven for about 30 minutes.
  8. Ready charlotte can be sprinkled with powdered sugar, berries or nuts.

With apples and jam

Charlotte with apples and jam is a great opportunity to diversify a traditional pie. The sugar you need is a little less than for ordinary apple charlotte, but here you need to take into account the degree of sweetness of apples (after all, it's better to be too sweet than too sour).

Charlotte with apple jamYou will need:

  • flour - 300 g;
  • granulated sugar - 200 g;
  • eggs - 3 pieces;
  • sweet and sour apples - 2-3 pieces medium;
  • jam with berries (any, for example, strawberry or raspberry) - 4-5 tablespoons;
  • sour cream - 2-3 tablespoons;
  • baking soda - ½ teaspoon;
  • vinegar 9% to extinguish soda - 1 teaspoon.

Cooking

  1. Cut the washed apples into slices, sprinkle them with a little sugar. If desired, you can sprinkle with lemon juice or add citric acid.
  2. Beat chilled eggs in lush foam. Pour in sugar gradually and beat until completely dissolved.
  3. Pour the sifted flour and mix well.
  4. Add soda, quenching it with vinegar, and sour cream and mix thoroughly again.
  5. Jam can simply be mixed with apples, or you can put it in a separate layer. For example, put half of the dough in a greased form, then a layer of apples, then again the dough and pour jam on top (part of it will sink in the dough).
  6. Send the cake to the oven, where by that time it will already be 180 degrees, for 35-40 minutes.

One of the recipes for charlotte with apples and jam is not to mix it in the dough, but to pour it over the finished cake while it is hot. Jam will give brightness to taste and pleasant fresh aroma.

  • sour cream - 2 tablespoons;
  • eggs - 3 pieces;
  • baking soda or baking powder - 1 teaspoon;
  • vinegar 9% - 1 teaspoon.
