Carrot 2-3 pcs.
Onion 2-3 pcs.
Lemon 1 PC.
Mayonnaise 100 g
Salt taste
Ground black pepper taste
Vegetable oil 30 g

Step cooking

  1. We peel two or three onions and two or three carrots. Wash the vegetables thoroughly and cut into half rings. One lemon cut into slices.
    Cut onion, carrot, lemon into half rings.
  2. We wash the pike under running water and remove the scales from it in a way convenient for you. Cut off the fins and tail, and leave the head untouched. After we gut the fish, we take out the insides and carefully cut the gills. Wash thoroughly from the inside.
    We clean the pike from the scales, my gutting.
  3. Season to taste with salt and black pepper inside and out. We leave to marinate the pike for 15 minutes.
    Rub the pike carcass with salt and pepper.
  4. After time, we make shallow cuts with a knife across the pike on both sides. Between the incisions there must be a gap of at least two centimeters.
    On each side we make deep cuts on the carcass.
  5. In a small deep bowl, mix chopped onions and 50 grams of mayonnaise. It is advisable that it be bold.

  6. We measure out a large sheet of foil so that a whole pike can fit on it, and cover it with a suitable baking sheet. We spread half the onion with mayonnaise on the foil, it will play the role of a pillow for fish.

  7. Then mix 50 grams of mayonnaise with chopped carrots and spread half of this mixture on a pillow of onions. Water the substrate on the foil with 30 grams of vegetable oil.
    We add carrot mixed with mayonnaise to the onion.
  8. Mix the remaining onions and carrots and start with the mixture of pike.
    With the remaining vegetables, we stuff the belly of the pike.
  9. In the cuts that we previously made in fish, we insert slices of lemon.
    In the incisions made on the pike with a knife, insert slices of lemon.
  10. Gently transfer the fish to a pillow of vegetables, and wrap it with foil.
    Transfer the fish to a vegetable pad and carefully wrap in foil.
  11. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. When the oven has warmed up, put a baking tray with a pike in it and bake for 50 minutes. After the time has passed, remove the pan from the oven, unfold the foil and put the fish back for another 15 minutes.
    At the end of baking, the foil on top must be removed so that the fish is browned.
  12. When the dish is ready, put it on a beautiful plate, decorate and serve.

  • Such a dish is served exclusively hot and whole, but we carve it already at guests. If you want to cook and serve the pike in portions, then cut it into steaks before cooking.
