Ingredients

Product amount
Mackerel (you can use any other fish) 1 PC.
Onion 1-2 pcs.
Carrot 1 PC.
Sweet bell pepper 1 PC.
Lemon 1 PC.
Granulated sugar 1/2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Bay leaf 4 things.
Allspice 10 pieces.
Olive or sunflower oil 2-3 tbsp. l

Step cooking

  1. To begin, we disassemble the fish. If you use a frozen carcass of a mackerel, it must first be thawed in the refrigerator naturally, without using a microwave or hot water. After defrosting, cut the belly of the fish and remove the insides. We rinse under running water. We make an incision just below the fin, unfold the knife towards the tail and cut the fillet. We carry out the same sequence of actions on the other hand.
    We gutted, cleaned and cut the mackerel.
  2. In the center of the fillet, cut out the main bones, and also remove the costal bones.
    Remove bones from the fillet as much as possible.
  3. After this, cut the fillet into portioned pieces. We do the same with the other fish.

  4. Spread chopped mackerel in a bowl. Add 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp sugar and juice of one lemon, filtered through a strainer.
    Add salt to the fish, pour with lemon juice.

  10. We cover the jar with a metal lid for preservation, having previously removed the gum from it. After that, put the jar in the oven and heat up to 180 degrees.
    We send a can of mackerel to the oven.
  11. As soon as the contents boil, lower the temperature to 150 degrees and leave to simmer for 1 hour.
    After boiling, reduce the temperature of the oven and simmer the fish for an hour.
  12. Cool completely in the oven. This dish can be eaten both warm and cold. Enjoy your meal.
