Delicious Apple Puffs - Puff Pastry Treats

Kitchen appliances and utensils:

  • parchment paper;
  • clean towel;
  • a baking sheet;
  • non-stick pan;
  • wooden spatula;
  • cutting board;
  • knife;
  • rolling pin.

Ingredients

Puff pastry (yeast-free) 250 g
The apples 3 pcs.
Wheat flour 15 g
Chicken eggs 1 PC.
Granulated sugar 45 g
Butter 30 g

Step cooking

  1. If the dough is frozen, then take it out of the package, put it on a flat surface sprinkled with flour, cover with a damp clean towel and leave it to defrost for half an hour. Usually in a pack there are two layers of puff pastry, and we will both use them.

  2. I wash three large apples and peel them. We remove the core from them and cut into small cubes.

  3. We put a non-stick frying pan on the stove, heat it, put 30 grams of butter.
    We heat the pan with a piece of butter.
  4. Spread the chopped apples. Fry the apples over medium heat for 3-4 minutes.

  5. Add 45 grams of granulated sugar to the pan and continue to fry, stirring, until caramel color.

  6. When the apples are covered with beautiful caramel, put them on a plate and leave to cool.
    Let’s cool the finished stuffing.
  7. Lightly roll out the thawed dough and cut each layer into four equal parts.
    Thaw the defrosted dough slightly and cut into 4 parts.
  8. From one edge of the piece we make slots, retreating about one centimeter. We also do the rest of the dough pieces.
    On one half of the workpiece we make a slot with a knife.
  9. We put the cooled apples on that part of the dough where there are no slots.
    On the whole half of the workpiece, lay out the apple filling.
  10. We close the puff with the side with slots and squeeze along the edges. Beautiful edges can be made with a fork.
    We fasten the edges of the puff, covering the filling with dough with slots.
  11. We perform these manipulations with the whole test and grease each puff with a beaten chicken egg. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. We cover the baking sheet with parchment paper, sprinkle it lightly with flour and lay out our puffs.
    Put the prepared puffs on a baking sheet laid with baking paper and grease with an egg.
  12. Put the puffs in the oven for 10 minutes. After ten minutes, reduce the temperature to 180 degrees Celsius and bake another 20 minutes.
    We send the baking sheet with the products into the oven.
  13. We shift the finished treat to a large dish, let cool and serve.
    Puff pastry layers with apples are very aromatic and delicious.

Decoration methods and serving options

  • It is important to know that puff pastry, especially bought at a store, cannot be rolled out much. If this needs to be done, then only in one direction. Otherwise, you can spoil the whole structure of this test, and after baking it will not have many layers.
  • Of course, other ingredients can be used as a filling. For example, you can safely put cherries, peaches, plums, nuts, caramel, chocolate. In this case, it all depends on your imagination.
  • Ground apple cinnamon can be added to the apple filling, as it simply blends perfectly with this fruit.
