How to learn how to make delicious green lentil soup 🍲

Kitchen appliances and utensils:

  • a pan with a thick bottom (for frying) and a lid;
  • a bowl;
  • tray (or any work surface);
  • stove (hob);
  • tablespoon;
  • tea spoon;
  • 200 ml glass.

Ingredients

Product amount
Green lentils 200 g (or 1 cup)
Bow 1 PC. medium size
Bulgur or rice 50-70 g
Tomato paste ½ tbsp l
Salt taste
Dry mint 1 tsp
Sunflower oil (olive oil) 2-4 Art. l
Water (or broth) 2-3 glasses (200 ml glass)
Red and black pepper taste

Step cooking

  1. Take one medium-sized onion, peel it and cut into cubes. In a thick-bottomed pan, pour 2-4 tbsp. l sunflower or olive oil. Add chopped onion to the oil.
    Grind the onion and put it into the pan with a thick bottom.
  2. Fry until golden brown.
    Fry the onion until transparent.
  3. While the onion is fried, take our green lentils (200 g) and pour it onto any surface that is convenient for you (a tray, a board, any working surface). Carefully inspect and sort out lentils to get rid of pebbles or debris, if any.

  4. Pour the lentils into a bowl and rinse with water 1-2 times.

  5. Back to the bow. When it gets a golden hue, add ½ tbsp. l tomato paste. Mix well and fry for a few more minutes.

    Fill all prepared foods with water.
  10. Now add the spices, 1 tsp. dry mint, red and black pepper to taste. Also salt to taste. But do not forget that tomato paste is already salty, do not overdo it.
    Add salt and spices to taste.
  11. Mix well and cover the pan with a lid.
    Cook the soup under the lid.
  12. Cook the soup until cooked for about 20-30 minutes.
    Green lentil soup is light but nutritious.

Lentil soup - red or yellow, brown or black "beluga" is cooked quickly, does not require separately cooked broth, and is ready to accept any spices.
