Homemade grated shortcake pastry pie

Kitchen appliances and utensils:

  • deep capacity;
  • whisk;
  • oven;
  • deep baking sheet or rectangular shape with sides;
  • grater;
  • knife.

Ingredients

Premium flour 3 stack
Granulated sugar 1 stack
Butter (or margarine) 180-200 g
Chicken eggs (medium) 2 pcs.
Baking powder for the dough 1 tsp
Jam or jam 150-200 g
Vegetable oil 1 tbsp. l

Step cooking

  1. Pour a glass of sugar into a deep bowl, add 200 g of melted butter, after allowing it to cool slightly. The oil can be melted in a water bath or in a microwave.
    Pour sugar into a bowl and fill it with melted and slightly cooled butter.
  2. Beat 2 chicken eggs and mix the ingredients thoroughly with a whisk or fork.
    We beat out two eggs for sugar and butter, mix.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix 3 cups flour with a teaspoon of baking powder, then gradually add to the liquid mixture.
    Having mixed flour with a baking powder, we begin to introduce it to the liquid components.
  4. Gradually mix all the ingredients, the dough is soft, plastic and does not stick to your hands at all.
    Knead a smooth dough that does not stick to your hands.
  5. Next, you need to divide the resulting mass into 2 unequal parts: put a little more than a quarter of the dough in a bag and put in the freezer for 30 minutes, and use the rest for the base of the pie.
    Separate a small part of the dough, wrap it in plastic wrap and send it to the freezer.
  6. Put the majority of the dough in a rectangular shape and evenly distribute it over the entire surface, slightly wrapping around the perimeter of the side (literally 1 cm).
    The bulk of the dough is the basis for the cake.
  7. Smudge 150-200 grams of any non-liquid jam over the entire base.
    Lubricate the base of the cake with jam.
  8. Then get a slightly hardened ball of dough from the freezer and grate it over the cake, sprinkling it evenly.
    On the grater we rub a smaller piece of dough, removing it from the freezer.
  9. Put in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
    We send the cake to the oven for 25 minutes.
  10. The finished pie turned out to be rosy and tender. It is necessary to wait for the delicacy to cool completely, after which it can be cut into portions. For a beautiful serving, we recommend sprinkling with powdered sugar and, most importantly, put it on a festive plate. This is a great option for drinking tea with family or friends for a quick and tasty breakfast or snack.
    As you can see, grated jam pie is prepared as easy as shelling pears.
