Ingredients

Premium wheat flour 600 g
2.5% warm milk 300 ml
Margarine / Butter 60 g
Chicken egg 1 PC.
Salt 0.5 tsp

Kystyby - This is a traditional dish of Bashkir or Tatar cuisine. This dish is a tortilla in which most often wrap potatoes. Therefore, the dough for this dish plays an important role, the taste of the dish depends on its proper consistency.

  1. We will prepare all the ingredients on the list and the work surface. Wheat flour should only be premium. Be sure to sift it in order to enrich it with oxygen and it has become even more magnificent and airy. Add 600 g flour to a deep bowl. Then pour 0.5 tsp. salt. Drive one medium-sized chicken egg.

  2. The fat component for the test is 60 g of margarine or butter. Some recipes include the addition of vegetable oil. Fats have a very positive effect on the quality of the dough: they improve taste, affect the increase in baking volume, make the dough more plastic.
    Prepare the ingredients for the dough.
  3. Put the margarine in a stewpan, put on a stove and melt it over low heat. Then cool and pour in the flour. Stir all the ingredients a little, and begin to gradually pour the warm milk. When the dough is difficult to knead in a bowl, transfer it to the work surface and continue to knead with the help of hands. Knead the dough until it stops sticking to your hands. The dough is very docile, soft and elastic.

  4. Before cooking, tighten the dough with a plastic wrap or put in a food bag and leave it to rest at room temperature for 25-30 minutes.

  5. You can add ingredients not to flour, but, on the contrary, add egg, margarine and salt to warm milk, and then pour flour into the liquid ingredients and knead the dough. This will not affect the quality of the test.
