Chicken stew - a very easy recipe

Kitchen appliances and utensils:

  • stove or hob;
  • cutting board;
  • knife;
  • silicone or wooden spatula;
  • kitchen paper towels;
  • deep pan or stewpan with a lid;
  • tablespoon;
  • tea spoon;
  • dinner plate.

Ingredients

Chicken drumstick 5 pieces.
Bow 1 PC.
Carrot 1 PC.
White cabbage 700 g
Sunflower oil 4-5 Art. l
Tomato paste 70 g
Granulated sugar 1 tbsp. l
Water 100 ml
Salt 0.7 tsp
Pepper 1 pinch
Mixture "Provencal herbs" 1 tsp
Parsley 1 bunch

Step cooking

  1. We wash 5 chicken drumsticks under cold water and remove excess moisture from them with kitchen paper towels.
    Rinse chicken drumsticks and pat them with kitchen towels.
  2. Carefully cut the meat from the bones together with the skin, trying to leave the bones clean.
    Separate the meat from the bones with the skin.
  3. After that, cut it into small pieces.
    Cut the meat into smaller pieces.
  4. We take carrots, peel and cut into small straws with a knife.
    Cut the carrots into thin strips.
  5. Peel the onion and chop it into small cubes.
    Chop the onion finely.
  6. We put a deep frying pan on the fire and heat in it 2 tbsp. l sunflower oil.
    We heat the pan, pour the vegetable oil.
  7. We spread the pieces of chicken meat in the preheated oil and lightly fry over medium heat. Stir the fried meat with a spatula and cover the pan with a lid, leaving it to simmer over medium heat.

  8. While our meat is being stewed, finely chop 700 g of cabbage, and then cut the resulting slices in half.
    Thinly chop the cabbage.
  9. If a lot of liquid has formed during the stewing of chicken meat, gently drain this broth, holding the meat with a lid and leaving a small crack for the liquid to exit, and again put the frying pan on the fire. Add another 2 tbsp. l sunflower oil and fry the chicken until half cooked.
    Fry the meat, adding vegetable oil if necessary.
  10. Now add 0.7 tsp. salt, pour the straws from the carrots to the meat and mix.

  11. After the carrots, after about 30 seconds, we send the chopped onion into the pan and fry it for a minute, stirring all the ingredients with a spatula, over high heat until golden.
    Next, put the onions in the pan.
  12. Now add the chopped cabbage and simmer over medium heat, stirring regularly, until the volume decreases by about 1/3 part.
    Add cabbage to vegetables with meat, mix.
  13. After that, lay on top on vegetables with meat 70 g of tomato paste and sprinkle 1 tbsp. l sugar, to remove acidity, add about 100 ml of water and mix everything well.
    Be sure to add tomato paste, salt, as well as some water to the stew.
  14. We leave it to simmer for 20-25 minutes on medium heat, stirring it regularly with a spatula, and at the same time we do not need to cover with a lid so that the cabbage does not let the juice in and start to boil in it.
    You need to stew cabbage without a lid, otherwise it will simply boil.
  15. Wash parsley greens under cold water and chop.
    Finely chop fresh greens.
  16. Sprinkle an almost ready dish with a pinch of pepper and 1 tsp. mix Provencal herbs, mix again with a spatula, and after 3-4 minutes turn off the fire.
    At the end of cooking, add spices to the dish.
  17. We spread the ready cabbage with meat on a plate, decorate with chopped parsley and serve hot.
    Chicken stew is ready.
