Ingredients
- Green nuts - 1 kg
- Sugar - 2 kg
- Lemon - 1 pc.
- Citric acid - 1 tsp.
- Cinnamon sticks - 1 pc.
Step cooking
- Prepare 2 kg of nuts. To do this, remove each nut from two sides from the crust and pierce with a toothpick. Make 2 holes about 1 cm deep on each side. Do it with gloves.
- Soak the nuts for 10 days in water. 2 times a day, you need to change the water.
- At the end of the period, change the water and put the pot of nuts on the fire. Boil the nuts for 20 minutes.
- Drain and discard nuts in a colander.
- Take syrup. For him, stir 2 kg of sugar in 1 liter of water and boil everything. For syrup, choose a deep saucepan. Add nuts to the boiled syrup. It is necessary to cook in 3 approaches, between which the delicacy must be allowed to cool and insist. At the same time, 2 times boil for 20 minutes, and the last time - 60 minutes.
- Peel the zest from one lemon and add it at the last jam preparation 15 minutes before the end. You also need to add 1 tsp. citric acid and 1 stick of cinnamon.
- Cook until fully cooked and turn off. Sterilize the jars and roll the jam you received in them.
