  • Sunflower or olive oil - 2-3 tbsp. l
  • Mustard oil (optional) - 1 tsp.

Step cooking

  1. Potatoes (the amount of potatoes you take at your discretion, but 7 are used in this recipe), peel and rinse thoroughly under running water. Potatoes should be taken about the same size. We clean and wash the potatoes.
  2. Peeled and washed potatoes are cut into four parts. We cut each potato into 4 parts.
  3. Sliced ​​potatoes are put in a deep container and add 2-3 tbsp to it. l sunflower (or olive), as well as 1 tsp. mustard oil. Add vegetable and some mustard oil to the potatoes.
  4. Thoroughly mix the pieces of potato with each other so that they are all evenly coated with oil. Stir the potatoes so that the oil is well distributed.
  5. We turn on the oven in advance and set the temperature mode to 200-220 degrees. Spread over the potatoes with butter and place on a baking sheet. We spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and put in the oven.
  6. Put the pan in the preheated oven. After about 10 minutes, we remove the pan from the oven and mix the potatoes with a spatula. This is done so that the potatoes are baked on all sides. After 10 minutes, mix the potatoes.
  7. We put the pan back into the oven. After 7-10 minutes, repeat this manipulation (for the entire cooking period, you need to mix the potatoes 2-4 times). Mix the potatoes again.
  8. When the potatoes are practically (but not completely) ready, remove the baking sheet from the oven and add salt, pepper and seasonings to the potato to taste. Mix the potatoes with spices thoroughly and put them back in the oven. Already almost finished potatoes, salt and pepper to taste.
  9. When the potatoes are well browned, we remove the baking sheet from the oven. The readiness of the dish can be additionally checked with a fork or knife: if the potato is easily pierced, it is ready. We get the potatoes from the oven, we check the readiness.
  10. We shift the finished dish into a suitable dish and serve to the table. Fried potatoes in the oven are no less tasty than in a pan.

Decoration and serving

Such potatoes should be served hot as an independent snack or side dish with meat steaks, chops or vegetable salad. A rustic potato goes well with sour cream sauce, ketchup or mustard. When serving, it can also be optionally sprinkled with finely chopped fresh herbs and chopped garlic. Enjoy your meal!
